The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) is excited to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Maxwell Jele, is currently participating in the prestigious Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management (MEMOS) programme.
This third session of the internationally acclaimed programme commenced on April 27, 2025, and will conclude on May 6, 2025, taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Cyprus. Mr. Jele’s attendance at MEMOS comes on the heels of a comprehensive data collection phase for his dissertation, which he conducted at the EOCGA Head Offices in Lobamba. This important research phase involved engaging with a diverse array of key stakeholders within the national sports sector.
Among those consulted were media representatives, government sports officials, Ministry personnel, notable figures in the sports community, as well as Secretaries General and Presidents of various National Sport Federations. The valuable insights gathered during these high-level interviews are expected to significantly enrich Mr. Jele’s research. His dissertation aims to enhance sports administration and strategic management in Eswatini, while also focusing on the nation’s journey towards automatic qualification for future events and achieving its first Olympic medal.
The EOCGA is committed to fostering excellence in sports and believes that Mr. Jele’s participation in this programme will not only benefit his personal development but also contribute to the overall advancement of sports in Eswatini. We look forward to the positive impacts of his findings and the continued growth of our national sports landscape.
