The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) has joined fellow members of the Commonwealth Sport Movement from Africa and Europe in Mombasa, Kenya, for the 2024 Commonwealth Sport Regional Meeting. Representing the association is the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Maxwell Jele.
Commonwealth Sport President Chris Jenkins is present at the meeting, leading a delegation that includes CEO Katie Sadleir and Director of Development Ellen Barwise, among others. Approximately 30 countries are represented at this gathering.
This meeting serves as a platform for Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) to exchange ideas on sports development and the significant social impact that the Commonwealth Sport Movement can achieve. Additionally, it will emphasize the vision for a ‘reset and redefined’ Commonwealth Games, discussing how the 2026 Games will be a crucial initial step towards creating a co-created, adaptable, and sustainable future for the Games.
