Maxwell Jele, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA), committed to serving with utmost dedication as the Secretary of ANOCA Zone VI.

He made this vow yesterday during a ceremonial handover at the headquarters in Lobamba, attended by the outgoing President of the Association of National Olympic Committees for Africa (ANOCA) Southern Region, Alfred Foloko, alongside the incoming President, Jappie Mhango.

During the handover, Jele assured Foloko and Mhango that Eswatini would not let them down in this leadership capacity within the region. He expressed his resolve to build on the accomplishments of his predecessors, with the goal of advancing the region to new heights.

The newly elected executive, which had assumed office the prior month, was slated to serve a four-year term that would conclude with the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Meanwhile, President Mhango conveyed his complete confidence in Eswatini, highlighting that their election to this governing body was no mere coincidence. He recognized the essential role that Eswatini has fulfilled in the region and looked forward to the collaborative endeavors that lie ahead.
