The 18th International Session for National Olympic Academies (NOAs) and National Olympic Committees (NOCs), hosted by the International Olympic Academy (IOA), concluded on May 15, 2025, in Ancient Olympia, Greece. Representing Eswatini at the prestigious gathering was Mr. Victor Dlamini, Chairman of the National Olympic Academy, who joined delegates from across the globe in a week-long exchange of knowledge and experiences centered around the promotion of Olympic values and education.

The session provided a dynamic platform for participants to share best practices and explore innovative strategies for strengthening the role of Olympic education in their respective countries. Through a rich program of lectures, workshops, and cultural activities, the Forum highlighted how National Olympic Academies are advancing the Olympic Movement through grassroots engagement, school-based programs, and community initiatives.

The event culminated in a memorable Closing Ceremony, during which participants received diplomas and heard a moving address from IOA President Dr. Charilaos Tsolakis. His remarks celebrated the enduring spirit of Olympism and the vital role of education in shaping a more peaceful and values-driven world. The ceremony concluded with the Olympic anthem, symbolizing unity among nations and the shared commitment to the Olympic ideals.

Mr. Dlamini has since returned to Eswatini with valuable insights and resources that are expected to greatly benefit the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA). As the NOC continues to expand its focus on Olympic education, including the introduction of new school and community-based programs, the lessons drawn from this international session will serve as a strong foundation for future initiatives.

This participation not only reinforces Eswatini’s active role in the global Olympic family but also aligns with the country’s growing commitment to using sport as a tool for education, development, and social cohesion. The knowledge gained from this session will help the Eswatini NOA build more impactful programs that inspire youth, promote Olympic values, and support the long-term vision of sport for all.
