The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) reinforced its commitment to high standards of governance by initiating a comprehensive review of the constitutions of its affiliated national federations.

This proactive measure aimed to ensure that these constitutions aligned with the principles outlined in the Olympic Solidarity constitution, which was essential for maintaining compliance with international governance standards.

The primary goal of this initiative was to foster transparency and democratic processes within the organizations that fell under the EOCGA’s umbrella. By aligning with international best practices, EOCGA not only enhanced its own governance framework but also promoted a culture of accountability and integrity across all national federations.

This initiative reflected EOCGA’s dedication to creating a robust sports environment in Eswatini, ensuring that all affiliated bodies operated under a unified set of principles that upheld the values of the Olympic movement. As the association moved forward with this important review, it set a precedent for excellence and integrity in sports governance within the region.

EOCGA engaged a local legal practitioner to assist in implementing this plan by the name of Noel Mabuza. The legal practitioner played a pivotal role in conducting the review and drafting the revised constitutions of each of the 23 national federations affiliated with EOCGA.
