The Chief Executive Officer of the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA), Mr. Maxwell Jele, attended the 41st ANOCA Secretaries General Seminar held in Maputo, Mozambique, from 27–28 September 2025.
The prestigious gathering brought together Secretaries General from all 54 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) across Africa, ensuring full continental representation. The Seminar, which is hosted annually, serves as an important platform for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration among NOCs on key issues that shape their work and contribute to the advancement of sport and the Olympic Movement on the continent.
In addition to the participation of the NOC Secretaries General, the Seminar was also attended by senior officials from Olympic Solidarity and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), further strengthening the alignment of African NOCs with global Olympic structures.
Reflecting on the importance of the event, Mr. Jele said:
“The Seminar was an invaluable opportunity to engage with colleagues from across the continent and to exchange ideas on how we can collectively strengthen the Olympic Movement in Africa. For Eswatini, these discussions are critical as they inform how we position ourselves to better support our athletes, enhance governance, and contribute to sustainable sports development nationally and regionally.”
Through this engagement, EOCGA continues to affirm its commitment to contributing to the collective growth of African sport while ensuring that Eswatini’s voice and perspectives are represented at the highest levels of the Olympic Movement.
