The CEO of EOCGA, Maxwell Jele is currently at the IOC Headquarters in Lausanne-Switzerland on a 3 day working visit. This is following the Paris 2024 CDM Seminar which was held in Paris a week ago. The CEO got an opportunity yesterday in between his meetings to pay a courtesy call to the IOC President, Thomas Bach. During this interaction, the President presented Jele with the EOCGA recognition certificate, which is in the form of a glass plate. This certificate confirms the establishment and registration of EOCGA with the IOC in 1972.
Getting comments from the CEO, he highlighted that it was an honor to meet the IOC President, and that the President noted the progress and strides that EOCGA has made over the years. He particularly congratulated the organization for the construction of the new Head Quarters at Lobamba.
On another note, the CEO mentioned that he was engaged in a string of meetings with all departmental Heads at the IOC and Olympic Solidarity. He promised to come back with good news pertaining additional funding for specific programmes.
The CEO is expected back home on the 25th of July
